Why effective communication?

Effective communication is essential for the delivery of high quality service. Communication failures are the leading causes of conflicts at workplace. Although so much focus has been put on changing cultures and the impact on organization, it is no doubt, that communication has always been the key to both the success and the failure of the company.

So, why are there communication failures?

Many factors contribute to communication failures. First and foremost, bosses, middle management and staff at large are trained to communicate differently.

Hierarchy frequently inhibits people from speaking up. People do not voice due to the fear of being told off by people in the higher hierarchy.

Cultures in organization also play an important role in determining effective communication. In most instances, the association of blame culture has further contributed to failures in communication.

Effective Communication Determines Avoidance of Conflicts

The use of emotional intelligence and understanding the core aspects of people’s personality is vital in overcoming conflicts at workplace. People are made differently and the patterns of thoughts are different. Therefore, these aspects have to be carefully comprehended to ensure a better culture at the workplace.

This workshop will also discuss pertaining issues like leadership styles and how it has an impact on deliverance of service. Participants will be given case studies to discuss and there will be role plays and simulation exercises throughout the workshop.
