It has been proven that Emotional Intelligence (EI) is responsible for work effectiveness and peak performance. Managers and team leaders are required to have technical or specialist expertise as well as a range of personal attributes and abilities e.g. EQ.

Daily, our runaway emotions influence the way we react at work. Having a high level of EI means having the ability to recognize behaviors, moods, impulses & manage them in a positive way. So instead of over-reacting and over-compensating when things don't go as planned, you are better equipped to overcome challenging situations and handle difficult people more effectively. Emotional intelligence is a learnable skill.
