1. Introduction to Stakeholder Management
Introduces the concept of Stakeholder Management and why it is necessary to undertake stakeholder analysis and stakeholder engagement. It also covers the problems faced and key practical issues faced in stakeholder management and how these may be overcome through stakeholder management.
2. Factors that affect Stakeholder Management
This section introduces factors such as organizational climate and individual stakeholder management skills necessary for stakeholder management. Under the section on organizational climate, organizational culture considerations are covered. This is followed by a discussion on key dimensions for stakeholder engagement.
3. Stages in Stakeholder Management
Identifies the various stages involved in stakeholder management such as stakeholder identification, stakeholder analysis, stakeholder mapping and stakeholder engagement. Each stage is covered through a series of practical exercises that will be carried out by the participants.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration Approaches
Introduces the concept of different stakeholder collaboration approaches such as informing, consulting, involving and empowering. Each approach will be considered separately and in conjunction towards meeting a specific business objective of a project being undertaken by a case study.
5. Principles of Stakeholder Management
The session will conclude with a discussion on the key principles of stakeholder management and how these principles apply within the context of projects undertaken in the organization.
