IT Disaster Recovery

This course is the part of Business Continuity that specializes in responding to serious operational disruptions resulting from IT failures. It takes delegates through the IT Disaster Recovery Plan lifecycle from understanding the key business drivers, examining the various strategic options available that determine the shape of the IT Disaster Recovery Plan, through to ensuring that a completed plan is fit-for-purpose.

• This session describes the nature of disasters and their effects on businesses
• It also discusses the various ways that a disaster can affect an organization and the role of prevention ?

Module 2: Getting Started with Disaster Recovery

This session explains how to begin planning the participant's disaster recovery project, emergency operations planning and how to develop an interim disaster recovery plan

Module 3: Getting Started with Disaster Recovery

This session deep dives into the vital component of business continuity - creation of the Business Impact Analysis, during which the participant will discover which business processes require the most effort in terms of prevention and the development of recovery procedures

Module 4: Building Technology Recovery Plans

This session helps the participant determine which systems and underlying infrastructure support critical business processes that the participant identify in the Business Impact Analysis

Module 5: Building Technology Recovery Plans

This session goes through the work of preventing disaster and recovering from disaster in distinct group - end users, facilities, systems and networks, and data - what those documents should contain and how to manage their development

Module 6: Building Technology Recovery Plans

This session details the actual disaster recovery plan documents - what those documents should contain and how to manage their development

Module 7: Strategies: In-House, Outsourced & Cloud

This session is aimed at providing insights, comparisons and benefits of each strategy

Module 8: Managing Recovery Plans

• This session discusses the disaster recovery (DR) plan testing and the five types of tests organizations often perform
• It also describes what activities you need to do to ensure that the participant's Disaster Recovery plans stay current ?

Module 9: Managing Recovery Plans

This session aims helping participants look into prevention of disasters and stay ahead of the game and their competitors

Module 10: Managing Recovery Plans

• This session discusses the many disaster scenarios and what each one brings to a disaster
• It gives organizations more reasons to develop business recovery plans and the benefits it receives from having a well- developed recovery plan ?

Module 11: Business Continuity Planning

This session gives an overview of business continuity planning, how are they deployed in organizations, what to look out for and how to use it as a management tool

Module 12: Business Continuity Management System (ISO 22301)

This session provides a high- level insight into the ISO standards and what to look for to effectively ensure business resilience
