Course Introduction ›

Business Continuity Management (BCM) is a framework for the purpose of identifying an organization's risk of exposure to internal and external threats.

The goal of a Business Continuity Management System is to provide an organization with the ability to effectively respond to threats such as natural disasters, operational or data breaches and protect the business interests of the organization. Business Continuity Management includes disaster recovery, business recovery, crisis management, incident management, emergency management and contingency planning.

Further to Bursa Malaysia's requirement for conformance to Sustainability Reporting, an implemented business continuity system is critical to deliver the four broad benefits from sustainable business practices, viz. reputation and relationships, cost savings and efficiencies, risks and resilience, and innovation and insights.

The workshop is aimed to build awareness in disaster and risk management for organizations through business continuity planning (BCP) to ensure smooth business operation before, during and after disaster.
